What Has Changed in the Content of the Exam?
The previously more unusual and not-so-known vocabulary has been revised with words more commonly given in colleges and used more frequently in school curricula.
The reading paragraphs that will be found in all exams will either support the found documents showing the existence of other countries or support the great global world conversations with articles that include freedom, justice, equality and human dignity. In addition, the reading and writing parts will be explained more clearly with a wide range of different sources. (Science, Social Studies, etc.)
Mathematics section will be divided into three main headings;
1. First Degree Questions
2. Mixed Equations and Functions
3. Ratio, proportion, percentages, proportional reasoning
Also, instead of the open-ended quick answers in the pre-exam SAT, all test takers will read a passage and write their elective essay in essay format before analyzing.
Grading:
Total Exam Score will be in the range of 400 – 1600.
The evidence-based reading and writing section will be scored between 200 and 800.
Mathematics section will be scored between 200 – 800.
Students will no longer be penalized for incorrect answers in the new SAT format.
The optional composition will be in a separate section and will be elective.
Important changes regarding the exam:
The duration of the SAT Digital (Online) exam will be 2 hours.
The SAT Digital (Online) Reading section will contain shorter and easier texts than previous exams.
Students will be able to use calculators in the SAT Digital (Online) Mathematics department.
SAT Digital (Online) exam results will be announced within a few days after the exam.
SAT Digital (Online) exam applications will be made in the fall of 2022.
Candidates will have the opportunity to try the new exam system through the online simulation platform, together with the exam application dates.
Note: The SAT Digital (Online) exam will be held face-to-face in the United States in 2023, online for international candidates, and online from 2024 all over the world, including the United States.
