What is High School Exchange Program?

The High School Exchange Program is a program approved by the Ministry of National Education and offers high school students between the ages of 15-18 the opportunity to study in the USA or Canada as an exchange student without losing a year.
Thanks to the High School Exchange Program, Turkish students receive education in elite high schools that have the authority to accept international students from the US and Canadian Ministry of State, stay with their American and Canadian families or in student dormitories, and thus have the opportunity to improve their English and vision and get to know different cultures closely. .

• According to the Equivalency Regulation of the Ministry of National Education, since high school education in the USA and Canada is considered equivalent, students can complete their education and graduate without losing a year when they return.
• In Europe, there is a language requirement of the country where you will be educated in high school programs.
• Students can participate in the High School Exchange Program for a period of 1 year or for a longer period (2 years, 3 years, 4 years).

Why should Turkish students participate in High School Exchange Programs?

• Participating in a 1-year high school exchange program in the USA or Canada, improving the level of English, having an international experience, and then
• To return to Turkey and complete high school education in Turkey.
• To graduate from an American or Canadian high school by studying in the United States or Canada as a senior year of high school and continue university education in the United States or Canada.
• Studying at least the last 2 years of high school in the USA or Canada, applying to top-level universities in the USA or Canada, or receiving scholarships at average American or Canadian universities.
• To gain an international experience before university by completing the high school education in Turkey and placing in a university, not starting the university, but participating in the program called 12+1.
• After completing a 4-year high school education in the USA or Canada, to enter universities in Turkey without examination.
• Have a very good level of English,

• Studying with other exchange students and seeing a multinational structure,
• Adapting to an overseas lifestyle by living away from their families,
  and they have the opportunity to have a unique experience that they will never forget
• Students studying in the USA or Canada in their senior year of high school can obtain a high school diploma. High school placements of our students who want to study in the USA or Canada are made by our expert advisors to high schools that can give high school diplomas and prepare students for SAT exams or give AP (Advance Placement) courses. Thus, our students gain a serious advantage in university and scholarship applications.
• Each of our students who go to America or Canada has been staying with carefully selected private families or in the dormitories of the school for years. Our students who stay with a family almost become a part of the family. They eat with the family, participate in social activities, spend time.
• Each of our students will have their own room at home. Families help students adjust more quickly to the United States or Canada, their new school, and their new life. Our students who go to boarding schools stay in the dormitories of the schools.
• Students who wish to participate in the High School Exchange Program must prove that they have a sufficient level of English.
• There is no high school program with all scholarships. Only partial scholarships are given according to the success of the student.

School Types

1. Public High School: This type of high school is a public high school. Accommodation of students studying in public high schools is done in a host family. Students can attend this program only once (1 year).
2. Private High School: This type of high school is private high school. Accommodation of students studying in private high schools is done with a host family. Students can attend this program for periods longer than 1 year.
3. Boarding School: This type of high school is boarding high school. Accommodations are made in the dormitories of the schools. Students can attend this program for periods longer than 1 year.

Program Participation Conditions

• Being mentally fit to have an international experience,
• Be between the ages of 15-18 when you start the program,
• Having a GPA of at least 60 out of 100 or at least 3.00 out of 5,
• Have at least an intermediate level of English to score.
